This is my fourth purchase of a Davis weather station. The first one was purchased long ago. It finally failed due to operator error. I purchased a 6252 last year for my son and one for myself for Christmas. Recently I purchased another 6252 for a remote area to monitor weather and rainfall. The new console for two of them is a major jump forward. One will be updated to new console. It appears new console may have longer distance of wireless transmission. Pleased with all. First one: Read the instructions carefully. Do not disconnect USB with power on!
